Boy has this season in my life has been BUSY. Wow. I am so sorry I am now just posting. I have been so busy with college. Yes, I said college! I am officially a first year student at THE Bowling Green State University. One thing I can say about BGSU, is that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE! My campus home is so beautiful and I can only thank God for bringing me here. So much has happened over the past six months. ONE: Way back in June, I applied for a position to the Odyssey Online and I GOT IN! Now some may be asking what the Odyssey online is? Odyssey (also known as The Odyssey or The Odyssey Online) is an American internet media company that operates based on a crowdsourced model, receiving articles from a base of thousands of volunteer authors and edited through their teams of volunteer, outsourced, and professional content strategists (Basically a website where thousands of colleges create articles about whatever they want). can remember when I first discovered my favorite online newspaper. I came across an article about American Doll Girls way back in December. The author was from Bowling Green and ever since then I always dreamt of being a writer for Odyssey. Turns out- the author I discovered in December is now my Editor in Chief! Funny right? I love writing and my passion has only grown ever since I got the position back in Dec. Please please please read my articles! View my profile here! --> www.theodysseyonline.com/@lindsaycoder TWO: I also joined another organization called CHAARG through Bowling Green State University. What is CHAARG? [CHANGING HEALTH, ATTITUDES, + ACTIONS TO RECREATE GIRLS] CHAARG aims to ignite a passion in college-aged girls for health + fitness. I am very excited to get involved and not gain the Freshman 15 (: THREE: I have found two awesome church organizations. Cru + H20 church. Both are great! {SOME BGSU PHOTOS I HAVE TAKEN SO FAR}: You may be wondering, what's the point of this? Well, through the pictures it may seem like I have been having the time of my life- and I have. It's just lately, I have been struggling. I am a perfectionist; everything in my mind has to be perfect (or close to). This past week, I had my first ever college quiz. I have been worrying all week- ask my friends. I made a quizlet and I even studied while I was at my Chaarg party, no lie. Some advice to incoming freshmen- college will hit you like a train. You're constantly on an emotional rollercoaster, stressed about school, social life, and other responsibilities and it never stops. The train keeps on trucking and you have no choice but to push through. One evening, I came back to my dorm room at defeat. I was stressed and of course I was worried about my upcoming quiz. However, a song came on my Spotify that I absolutely fell in love with. Sara Reeves-- "Details". You drew the lines of my fingerprints. {www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTICoQC8PRw} This song reminds me that God has a plan for all of us. It was a reminder for me that everything was going to be alright because He already has a plan for me. So that day, I decided not to worry about my quiz because He already knows the grades I shall receive for this semester, so why should I worry if I fail? + He had a plan for me to come to Bowling Green. + He had a plan for me to find a roommate in the most easiest way possible. + He had a plan for me to write for the Odyssey. + He had a plan for me to find my tribe. + He had a plan for me to take the class that I constantly worry about. + He had a plan because he saved me. So if you're the mother or father who is constantly worrying about her children, or a typical college or high school student freaking out about school, remember DO NOT WORRY. Philipians 4:6 says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer let your requests be known to God". Remember to keep the faith; every little thing will be alright. xoxo,
L.K.
